STRAIGHT ANSWERS.
NO RUNAROUND.
Everything you need to know before you order. If your question isn’t here, we’re one message away.
⬛sizing
Q: How do I know what size to order?
Every product page has a size guide specific to that garment. Check it before you order.
The short version:
- Bella+Canvas 3001 runs true to size with a slight athletic fit
- Comfort Colors 1717 runs slightly large with a relaxed fit
- When in doubt — size up
We know sizing is the number one reason people hesitate on apparel. That’s why the size guide is on every single product page. No excuses for getting it wrong.
Q: Do you offer plus sizes?
Yes. Most products are available from S through 3XL. Size availability varies by garment and colorway — check the product page for exact options.
Plus sizes (2XL and above) are priced at $2–$3 more due to garment cost. That’s standard across the industry. It’s noted clearly on every product page — no surprises at checkout. is on every single product page. No excuses for getting it wrong.
Q: The size guide says one thing but I’m between sizes. What do I do?
Size up. Every time.
A shirt that’s slightly large looks intentional. A shirt that’s slightly small does not. Tradespeople know this better than anyone.
Q: Do your shirts shrink in the wash?
All cotton garments shrink slightly in the first wash — typically 3–5% depending on water temperature.
Wash cold. Tumble dry low or hang dry depending on the exact product. Instructions are included with each product description. The print will last longer if you turn inside out before washing and drying. The fit will hold. This isn’t complicated. Treat it like you’d treat any quality garment.
⬛ QUALITY & MATERIALS
Q: What are the shirts actually made of?
We currently use two primary garments depending on the design:
Bella+Canvas 3001 52% airlume combed and ringspun cotton, 48% polyester. Lightweight, fitted, soft. The industry standard for premium DTG printing. The print sits clean. The color pops. It holds up.
Comfort Colors 1717 100% ring-spun cotton. Garment-dyed for a worn-in, lived-in feel straight out of the bag. Slightly heavier. Relaxed fit. The kind of shirt that looks better after twenty washes.
Every product page lists which garment it’s printed on. We chose these two because they’re what tradespeople actually wear — not because they were the cheapest option.
Q: How is the design printed on the shirt?
Direct-to-garment printing. DTG.
Ink is applied directly to the fabric using a specialized printer — similar to how an inkjet printer works, but built for textiles. The result is a print that’s part of the shirt, not sitting on top of it.
No cracking. No peeling. No plasticky feel. Wash it correctly and it holds.
Q: Will the print crack or fade after washing?
Not if you treat it right.
Wash inside out. Cold water. Tumble dry low or hang dry. No bleach. No ironing directly on the print.
Follow those four rules and the print outlasts most of the situations that made you want the shirt in the first place.
Q: Is the print quality consistent?
We work with vetted print partners who specialize in DTG apparel. We don’t use whoever’s cheapest. We use whoever’s most consistent.
That said — screen color and print color are never identical. What you see on your monitor is not exactly what prints on fabric. Colors are close. They are not pixel-perfect matches.
If the color difference is significant or the print has a clear defect — contact us within 7 days. We’ll fix it.
Q: Are mugs dishwasher safe?
Yes. Top rack only.
The sublimation print on our mugs is baked into the coating — not printed on top of it. It holds up to regular dishwasher use on the top rack. Avoid the bottom rack’s higher heat over time.
⬛ SHIPPING & PRODUCTION
Q: How long does it take to get my order?
Two stages: production and shipping.
Production: 3–7 business days. Your item is printed specifically for your order. It is not sitting in a warehouse. It is made when you buy it.
Shipping (US): 5–10 business days after production.
Total estimated time: 8–17 business days from order to delivery.
We know that’s not Amazon Prime. It’s the reality of made-to-order printing. The tradeoff is a fresher product with no overstock waste. Plan accordingly — especially for gifts.
Plan for 8–17 business days. You will receive order updates by email.

Q: Do you ship internationally?
Not at this time. US orders only.
We’re building toward international shipping. When it’s available, subscribers hear first.
Q: Can I get expedited shipping?
Expedited shipping options are available at checkout where offered.
Note: expedited shipping speeds up the carrier leg of the journey, not the production time. Your item still needs 3–7 business days to be printed before it ships.
If you need something by a specific date, work backward from that date using the production + shipping estimate. When in doubt, order earlier than you think you need to.
Q: My tracking number isn’t updating. What’s going on?
Tracking numbers are generated when your order ships — but carrier systems sometimes take 24–48 hours to show movement after the label is created.
If your tracking hasn’t updated in more than 3 business days after your ship confirmation email, contact us. We’ll investigate on our end.
Q: My order says delivered but I didn’t receive it
Check around your property first — porches, side doors, with neighbors, with building management if applicable.
If it’s genuinely not there, contact us within 7 days of the marked delivery date. We’ll file a claim and get you sorted.
⬛ RETURNS & PROBLEMS
Q: What’s your return policy?
Every item is printed specifically for your order. We don’t carry inventory. We don’t accept returns for buyer’s remorse or sizing issues.
What we do cover — without question:
- Item arrived damaged
- Significant print defect (fading, cracking, misalignment)
- Wrong item received
If any of those apply: contact us within 7 days of delivery, include a photo, and we’ll send a replacement at no charge. No lengthy back-and-forth. No restocking fees. No runaround.
Q: I ordered the wrong size. Can I exchange it?
We can’t process exchanges on made-to-order items.
Check the size guide before you order. When in doubt, size up. Both of those are on the product page for a reason.
Q: My item arrived damaged. What do I do?
Contact us at hello@pressuretestedco.com within 7 days. Include your order number and a clear photo of the damage.
We’ll file a claim with our production partner and send you a replacement. The replacement will be right.
Q: How long do I have to report a problem?
7 days from the date of delivery.
After 7 days, we can’t file a claim with our production partner and our options become limited. Don’t sit on it.
⬛ GIFTING
Q: Is this a good gift for someone in the trades?
That depends on one thing: does the saying on the shirt describe their actual life?
If you read the product and thought “that’s so him” or “that’s so her” — it’s the right one. That reaction is the whole point.
If you’re not sure which one — go to the shop, filter by trade, and read through the sayings. The right one will be obvious.
Q: How do I know what size to order for someone else?
Ask them. Seriously.
If you can’t ask without ruining the surprise:
- Men typically prefer one size larger than their usual (trades workers often prefer a relaxed fit)
- Women: order their usual size in Bella+Canvas, size up in Comfort Colors
When in doubt — size up. A slightly large shirt is a good gift. A slightly small one is not.
Q: Can I include a gift message with my order?
Gift message options are available at checkout.
Add your message in the notes field and we’ll include it.
Q: The gift didn’t arrive in time. What happened?
Production takes 3–7 business days before shipping begins. Shipping takes another 5–10 business days.
For any time-sensitive gift — birthday, Father’s Day, Christmas — order at least 3 weeks in advance.
For Christmas specifically, watch our News page and social channels for the published last-order date. We post it every year. That date is the one to hit.
Q: Can I order multiple items as a gift bundle?
Yes. Add multiple items to your cart and check out together.
Note: because items are made to order, some items in the same order may ship separately if they’re produced at different times. You’ll receive individual tracking for each shipment.
⬛ THE BRAND
Q: Who is Pressure Tested Co?
Every item is A brand built specifically for the skilled trades — plumbers, mechanics, electricians, HVAC techs, and anyone who solves problems other people won’t touch.
Every design starts with one question: would an actual tradesperson stop scrolling for this?
If the answer is no, it doesn’t get made.printed specifically for your order. We don’t carry inven
Q: Are you a real brand or a dropship operation?
We are a real brand with a real design process.
Every saying, every layout, every design decision is deliberate. We work with vetted print-on-demand production partners — which means your item is printed to order rather than pulled from a warehouse shelf.
That’s not a workaround. It’s a better model. No overstock. No waste. Fresh print every time.
Q: Who are Bob, Steve, and Tricia?
The people who wear the gear.
Bob’s a master plumber. 31 years. He’s seen everything. Steve’s a mechanic — the one other mechanics call when the diagnostic computer is wrong. Which it often is. Tricia’s an electrician who went independent three years ago and has been relabeling other people’s panels ever since.
They end up at the same bar after long shifts. They talk the way tradespeople actually talk when nobody’s watching.
Pressure Tested Co makes the gear they wear when they walk in.
Q: Do you make designs for [specific trade]?
We currently make designs for:
- Plumbers
- Mechanics / Automotive
- Electricians
- HVAC Technicians
- Blue Collar / General Trades
More trades are coming. If yours isn’t listed, send us a design suggestion. That’s exactly how new trade categories get added.
Q: Will you ever sell the brand?
We’re building it to last. Whether that means we run it forever or it passes to someone who can take it further — the brand, the characters, the standards all transfer intact.
Bob, Steve, and Tricia aren’t going anywhere. Neither is the bar.
⬛ DESIGN SUGGESTIONS
Q: Can I suggest a design or saying?
Yes. And we actually read them.
Every design we’ve made started with something real — a moment on the job, a saying the crew uses, something a customer did that nobody outside the trade would believe.
If you’ve got one, use the contact form and select “Design suggestion.” Tell us the trade, the situation, and the saying if you have one.
If we make it, we’ll reach out before it drops. You’ll know it was yours before anyone else does.
Q: Will I get credit or compensation if my idea becomes a design?
We’ll reach out to let you know it’s happening and send you a discount code for the launch.
Design suggestions are not legally binding agreements — we retain creative rights to all designs. But we do right by the people who help us build the catalog.
